In McKinney, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Texas vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach True Street Motorsports at (972) 542-9886; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is truestreetmotorsports.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 98 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in McKinney.

McKinney is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around McKinney is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

So I did what every car guy has done I fell in love with my dream car and ignored all the red flags I should have never bought the car in the first place. Turns out it was a basket case and I couldn't figure out the issues it was having. I am just a regular blue collar guy and these guys have record setting cars in their shop. They still gave me the same respect, communication and service as if I was a top customer. Which if you know how a shop works that is truly difficult to do sometimes. I mainly communicated with Mike he gave me updates every step of the way. Seriously the team at true street is the best. Wether it's just fixing the basket case of a car you should have never bought or if you want a record setting half mile demon look no further.

I’m new to the Dallas area. Don’t know many people. I was referred to True Street Motorsport by Ford in McKinney. I had a wonderful experience. Everybody was extremely kind and knowledgeable. They kept me updated on my vehicle and even found things that needed to be brought to my attention. They have great prices and are the utmost professional. I will go there for everything for all of my family’s vehicles.

I brought my 1992 C4 Corvette here because it was idling pretty rough and it had already gotten lots of sensors replaced on it without the problem actually being fixed, so by that point I started looking at other things it could be. I thought it might need a tune, the reason being it had the ECM replaced and I wasn't sure if something was up with the replacement (previous owner had the original replaced due to it not functioning properly and being too far gone to be RMA'd). Anyways when I would come to a stop and let it sit for a few seconds I'd notice how rough and unhealthy the idle sounded and the check engine light would come on, as well as the car smelled like it was running rich judging from the exhaust so I figured something was up with the fuel mixture going on in the engine. Now, there are not many shops that want to touch dyno tuning OBD1 cars with a ten foot pole. I called many shops in Dallas about getting the car looked at and this was the ONLY one that said they could take a look at it and do a tune on it. When it was time for my appoimtment I dropped it off and everything was done in a very timely manner and communication was excellent throughout the entire process.

Dropped my '19 twin turbo Mustang GT off Monday morning for a tune. They quickly found out why the remote tune that was done on it was not taking. Found issue with the injectors and the dual pump fuel system I had bought. Clint has been very helpful and very straight forward with what is happening each day. Communication is top notch!!! I am confident that I am going to be very happy with the outcome.

True street has been my #1 choice for performance upgrades, repairs, tuning, and maintenance now since 2018 I think or since I bought my supercharged raptor. Before that I was going there to buy nitrous for my track car. Always honest fair pricing, excellent work, I mainly talk to Clint but everyone there is down to earth and willing to answer questions. Just had my truck repaired there, was one of those needle in a hay stack issues but they diagnosed the problem and my truck is running better than before πŸ‘πŸ‘ I really appreciate these guys and I'm glad I don't have to depend on dealership ford technicians who don't understand a modified vehicle to keep my truck running great. These guys will always treat you right and get you back on the road. As with any business communication is key and you have to know your own vehicle to some degree so you don't have unrealistic or unreasonable expectations. People are too quick to anger or blame for preexisting things, it shows they don't pay attention, or when it's going to cost $$ to get what you want but everything costs $$ and if you want to play you gotta pay according to what you want done. I said honest and fair pricing not cheap, their
